Capital idea I must certainly say,

This most American of ways,

Our lives but an issue of pay,

Count me up and down all of my days.

Trade me for paper and coin,

Do this and that on my time,

A club enslaved to join,

Fleeing feeling far from sublime.

Venture not too soon, too late,

For always a day come after,

Tis gambit, tis folly, tis fate,

To spur a swing from the rafter.

If it could always be there,

Moola...sweet soup of life,

Then I would be without a care,

To loll, spend my days without strife.

Spirit no price in dollar,

Wisdom not obtained with a shove,

Asked to pay I will surely holler,

Life is adventure and learning and love.
