Cattle, sheep and pigs, oh my!

Contributing to global warming no lie,

Human absurdity makes me cry,

Trading health for meat, I wonder why?

They burp harmful gases and pollute the water,

Destroying the environment for my son and daughter,

Reduce their number we really oughta,

Land can feed the hungry if not used for fodder.

Over two billion cattle and pigs roaming the earth,

And increasing destruction with each birth,

Trichinosis, salmonella, expanding girth,

Why meat above human worth?

Healthier alternatives to meat abound,

There are soybeans and fish in most every town,

Cheaper and healthier for diet sound,

Science and the intelligent have already found.

Cars, trucks and oil are bad we know,

But the oil clowns have us over-the-barrel so,

Until we give the combustion engine heave-ho,

Sacrifice we must make for the human race to grow.

Forget your meats and car three days a week,

Healthier environment and lifestyle we seek,

Let's not wait until our future is bleak,

With water and air that always reek.

So to India and Texas I implore,

Make your cattle sacred no more,

Unless you care not for life's core,

And due to our selfish ways,

Then nature we will soon abhor.
